Bailey Unicorn Cadiz Used Caravan

This 2015, Bailey Unicorn Cadiz ( Series 3 ), 4 berth used caravan with two fixed single beds is in superb condition. Externally the caravan has been very well looked after. Inside you will find the same high standard - upholstery, worktops, cupboards and utlities are all in the same excellent condition.

This Cadiz is constructed using Bailey's innovative Alu-Tech Bodyshell system. Just some of the benefits this provides include increased strength and durability, enhanced thermal insulation and lighter caravans so that your car stands more chance of being suitable for towing.

Some features of note for the Cadiz are: a Truma 100 watt solar panel on the roof, an AL-KO ATC Trailer Control System and an AL-KO AKS 3004 stabiliser are fitted which combined give an excellent and assured towing experience and soft closing cupboards - they make less noise at night!

Please note: this Cadiz has been photographed with the fixed standard flooring BUT loose drop-in carpets are supplied with the caravan.

The Front Lounge
Like other Bailey caravans, this Cadiz has a large front skylight, a rooflight and of course surrounding windows. The result is a front lounge area that has a really pleasant light, airy feel with loads of daylight. As you would expect in this caravan the upholstery is spotless and the seating is as good as new - firm, comfortable and ideal for relaxing on.

The well proportioned seats give ample room for a 4 berth caravan even allowing for extra guests. The two seats are both 180cm each in length. There is storage space beneath both seats; remove the seat cushions and lift the sprung loaded seat supports to access two large spaces that are ideal for storing bedding or large items like awnings etc. This Cadiz also has an easy bed make-up system. Looking at our photographs you will see this is a frame with wooden slats that pulls out from the bottom of the 2 drawer cabinet. This features makes the task of changing the area into a bedroom and of course back into a lounge, just that much easier and more convenient.

At night there is a choice of making this area into a double bed ( 5' 11" x 6' 6" ) or two singles ( 5' 11" x 2' 2" & 6' 0" x 2' 2" ) and as previously mentioned there is the easy bed make-up system to aid this process.

At the very front of the lounge is a full width window sill that is integrated with the table top of the 2 drawer cabinet. Set into the sill is a TV connection point with both 12 volt and mains power points. ( Note: there is also another TV connection point in the bedroom ). To ensure a good signal both TV connection points are linked to a Vision Plus VP3 signal booster/amplifier whilst on the roof you will find a Vision Plus Status 550 telescopic directional aerial. For other entertainment there is the JVC DAB Radio / CD Player with cone stereo speakers. This is also linked to the VP3 signal amplifier.

Storage in the lounge area comprises of 4 overhead lockers, the 2 drawer cabinet which has a small cupboard space at the bottom and the previously mentioned space beneath the two seats. Night-time lighting is provided by a combination of four directional spotlights and several small, fixed down lighters. All curtains run on easy glide rails and are therefore easy to operate.

The Kitchen
The Kitchen is positioned centrally in the caravan. For it's overall size the kitchen has a good amount of storage space, with 2 overhead locker cupboards and a kind of spice rack size cupboard ( eg it is not very deep ) above the worktop. Further storage below the worktop is provided via a large curved fronted cupboard which has several shelves, a drawer with cutlery tray, a smaller cupboard beneath that and finally a useful cupbaord beneath the oven - typically used for baking trays etc.

You will notice from our photographs that there is a worktop entension flap that helps provide that bit of extra worktop space when preparing meals. Talking of preparing meals, this Cadiz gives you all the cooking options you'll ever need including a stainless steel, 800 watt microwave oven, a Thetford dual-fuel hob with an electric hotplate and 3 gas burners and a Thetford Caprice combined oven and grill with electronic ignition and flame failure device. On the opposite side of the caravan is the large capacity Dometic 133 litre tower refrigerator also with electronic ignition.

Daylight to the kitchen area is supplied by a medium sized rooflight and a window directly behind the sink. For night-time lighting to the kitchen there are 4 small down-lighters overlooking the worktop.

The Bedroom - Twin Fixed Single Beds
The two fixed single beds have slightly different sizes - 6' 3" x 2' 4" and 5' 10" x 2' 2". Both have a large storage space beneath them - very useful for larger items like full sized awnings. Other storage is available through the six overhead lockers. Each side has a directional spotlight at the head of the bed - ideal for reading.

As mentioned previously, the bedroom area has it's own TV connection point with 12 volt and mains sockets and this is linked through to the signal booster and aerial. The TV will need to have a bracket mounting point though. Our photographs show the extending arm and bracket for viewing the TV.

A single mains socket is provide at the foot of the beds. The bedroom area has a folding room seperator for privacy ( see photographs ).

The WC / Shower Room
Situated at the rear of the caravan the room features a Thetford C-260 cassette toilet with integrated header tank. To the left of this is a tall storage cupboard with hanging rail. This is also where the dining table is stored. For soaps, showr gels and toiletries in general there is a cupboard beneath the washbasin. The washbasin has a wall fixed mirror behind it plus a wall mounted shaving mirror.

To the right then, we find the shower cubicle iteself. At 80cm by 68cm it is a very reasonable size and has some added bonuses; it is fitted with the very popular EcoCamel shower head, it has a practical, integrated shelf that is so useful for putting shower gels, soaps and shower scrubbers on, it has two lights actually in the cubicle and finally a small rooflight above provides light and ventilation.

The washroom is the only area in the caravan that has a ceiling light for night-time.

Hi Dick
I had a 36 months gold package with them and made a claim for a repair in France.
They paid 80% of the bill which was over 1100 euro.
In my book that was good value

Hi Glandwr.
I have had very good experiences with this company 3 years ago. Firstly, the power steering rack failed. One phone call to MB&G. I was asked where I would like to have it done, which was our local garage in Gretna. They then contacted the gararage. All I had to do was to sit and wait a few days until it was done.Brilliant!

Next was the kitchen tap which went in France--quick phone call to MB&G--kept receipt and was re-imbursed within 4 days of being back home. The integral bike rack hinges failed. It was repaired by Peter Hambilton, who did a brilliant job. Again, just a quick phone call to MB&G,and everything was sorted. I would only hope they are still as good now as they were then. I couldn't fault them. The warranty was in with the price of the van,so I can't say how much it cost but as the van was 10 yrs old I wanted some form of assurance for that 1st year. Incidentally,it's needed nothing since, other than basic service items. You can only speak as you find, but for me they were vey good.
