Caravan Description - A Walk Through
The Bailey Phoenix 760 is unique in the Bailey Phoenix caravan range. It is the only twin axle caravan in the range, which makes sense as it also has the longest shipping length ( you will find much debate about the pros and cons of single / twin axle caravans across the internet, but the vast majority agree that a twin axle is more stable and that maneuverability concerns can be overcome by the addition of a motor-mover ). It is also the only six berth caravan in the Phoenix range and as such is ideally suited for the family caravanning holiday.
The central Washroom means that it is available to those sleeping in either the front or the rear of the caravan and thereby reduces the risk of disturbing the sleep of others. The central kitchen is also sensibly position for serving meals either to the dinette area or the front lounge.
There are 3 areas for sleeping at night. The two fixed bunks at the rear of the caravan provide beds measuring 6' 1" x 2' 2". The dining area or dinette will convert to a sleeping are and provides a bed measuring 5' 10" x 2' 3". and finally, when further sleeping space is required the front lounge area can be converted to a sleeping area at night. The lounge area of the Phoenix 760 will provide either a double bed measuring 6' 2" x 4' 9" or alternatively two single beds measuring 6' 1" x 2' 1".
An 'easy bed make up system' is provided. This is an array of wooden slats that pulls out from under the 2 drawer cabinet and glides on rails along the length of the seats. It just helps converting the area into a sleeping area or converting it back to the lounge. ( Note: the image of the nighttime layout only shows the double bed layout ). Naturally, all windows, skylights and rooflights have integrated blinds to cut out light and provide a darkened room ready for sleeping in.
A Feature To Mention
Almost a decade ago, Bailey caravans introduced the Alu-Tech Bodyshell, a significant departure from the conventional method of caravan construction that had remained unchanged for the previous three decades. The Alu-Tech Bodyshell provides increased strength and durability, improved insulation, improved protection, lighter caravans and better balanced caravans.
