This highly modern, 4 berth Bailey Pursuit 430-4 caravan is in a really lovely condition both inside and out. The double fixed bed offers extra comfort and convenience. Due to the front skylight and rooflight the caravan has wonderful light in the front lounge. Externally the caravan is in a delightful conditionand if you plan to use the caravan with an awning there is a flush fit awning light. We describe the interior in detail below.

The Front Lounge

  • General View of the Bailey Pursuit 430-4 Front LoungeSeating - each seat measures 1.2 metres before cushions are put in place, giving a good amount of seating for four people. As you would expect from a 2018 caravan, seating is practical, comfortable and firm.
  • Night-Time Lighting - the lounge has 2 directional spotlights each with their own switch This means that you can select which ones to have on or off.
  • Daylight - the combination of surrounding windows, front skylight and central rooflight above, provide lots of daylight into the front lounge giving it a very pleasant and rewarding feel.
  • Storage - The lounge has 3 overhead lockers. In addition to these there are two shelf units set into the corners. There is of course storage beneath the seats as well. This can be accessed by removing the seat cushions and lifting the slatted wood frame ( this gives full access ).
  • Using As A Sleeping Area - The front lounge has an Easy Bed Make-Up System. This is an array of wooden slats that pulls out and runs on a glide-track. It makes the process of changing the lounge into a sleeping area easier and less tiresome. To cut out light, all rooflights and windows have integral pleated blinds. You can either make the area into a double bed; 6' 8" x 4' 6" or two single beds; 1 @ 4' 9" x 2' 3" and 1 @ 5' 1" x 2' 3"
  • Entertainment - There is a Radio / CD player with an iPod, MP3 player connection point. This is connected to two stereo speakers for entertainment and your enjoyment.

The Kitchen

  • Bailey Pursuit 430-4 Kitchen OverviewStorage - The kitchen has 1 overhead storage cupboard. Beneath the oven is a cutlery drawer and a small cupboard ideal for storing baking trays or similar. If you require more kitchen storage then there is an overhead cupboard plus some shelves directly opposite.
  • Daylight - the window behind the hob and sink plus the rooflight above give balanced daylight into the kitchen area.
  • Night-Time Lighting - there are 2 fixed spotlights in-front of the overhead unit and microwave plus another fixed spot beneath the overhead unit that will shine directly onto the worktop. General lighting to the kitchen will be provided by 4 fixed spots set into the ceiling.
  • Cooking - The kitchen is fitted with a Thetford Triplex combination oven and grill. There is also stainless steel 800 watt microwave.
  • Hob - A Thetford hob with 3 gas burners.
  • Refrigerator - The kitchen comes with a Dometic 103 litre with freezer top box.

The TV Station

Central to the caravan, the TV station is directly opposite the Kitchen. It's position means that the television can be viewed from both the front lounge and the bedroom area. The station has the usual TV connection point, 12 volt and mains socket power points. These are connected to a signal booster and the aerial. There are also cupboards for storage of DVD's, leads etc or if you preferred these could be utilised for extra kitchen storage.

Pursuit 430-4 Fixed Double BedThe Bedroom

With a fixed double bed there is the convenience of not having to transform an area for sleeping each night.

  • Storage - The bedroom has a good amount of storage space. There is 1 single and 1 double overhead locker plus a large shelf space into the corner. Of course, the space beneath the bed is also available for storing large items like awnings or other similar items. There is a large wardrobe style cupboard that has a hanging rail opposite the bed itself.
  • Daylight - a single wide window plus the rooflight above give balanced daylight into the bedroom area.
  • Night-Time Lighting - there are 2 directional spotlights at the headboard end of the bed

The Washroom

A smart and nicely proportioned washroom. As you enter, immediately on your left is a wall mounted mirror. Proceeding forward you will find a wall mounted cupboard that is above the Thetford C-260 cassette toilet ( with integrated header tank ). Following round again we find the washbasin with storage beneath and then finally the shower cubicle itself.

The shower cubicle is a nice size measuring 80cm x 67cm approximately. There is a roof vent to reduce condensation. Daylight comes into the washroom via the window and roof vent. For nightime lighting there are 3 fixed spotlights.

Warranty Included In The Price

Unless otherwise stated, the Penrose Touring price includes 12 months warranty provided by MB&G Insurance. At the time of purchase you are provided with a booklet produced by MB&G Insurance. The booklet explains what the warranty does and does not cover, what additional benefits you may be entitled to, the insurance conditions and how to make a claim under the warranty. The booklet also includes a claim form for your convenience.

MB&G - Who Are They?

MB&G Insurance are one of the few remaining privately owned warranty providers and have been in business since 1978. They are members of the Retail Motor Industry Federation, the Society of Motor Manufacturers & Traders and the National Caravan Council and have staff who specifically deal with caravan warranty. To quote MB&G themselves

Dealing with a Caravan warranty claim can be a very complex situation, which is why you’ll be glad of our knowledge and expertise. We understand the difficulties and can point out the potential pitfalls, and we also work with the manufacturers too. We can even cover that old devil, water ingress – a common problem that doesn’t always have a common solution – for up to seven years. Put simply, you can rely on us whatever the weather.

How Does It Work?

The warranty contract will be between yourselves and MB&G Insurance. If you need to make a warranty claim then you contact MB&G Insurance direct. We have collected a couple of quotes from people who have made warranty claims with MB&G Insurance which we feel will be helpful.

Quote 1
Hi Dick

I had a 36 months gold package with them and made a claim for a repair in France.
They paid 80% of the bill which was over 1100 euro.
In my book that was good value

Hi Glandwr.
I have had very good experiences with this company 3 years ago. Firstly, the power steering rack failed. One phone call to MB&G. I was asked where I would like to have it done, which was our local garage in Gretna. They then contacted the gararage. All I had to do was to sit and wait a few days until it was done.Brilliant!

Next was the kitchen tap which went in France--quick phone call to MB&G--kept receipt and was re-imbursed within 4 days of being back home. The integral bike rack hinges failed. It was repaired by Peter Hambilton, who did a brilliant job. Again, just a quick phone call to MB&G,and everything was sorted. I would only hope they are still as good now as they were then. I couldn't fault them. The warranty was in with the price of the van,so I can't say how much it cost but as the van was 10 yrs old I wanted some form of assurance for that 1st year. Incidentally,it's needed nothing since, other than basic service items. You can only speak as you find, but for me they were very good.

What Else Should I Know?

The type/level of warranty applicable is dependent on the age of the caravan. The information provided here is not exhaustive; it is not possible to state what is included and what is specifically excluded by the warranty cover you will receive. If you require this information then you need to check your policy or request the information before purchasing the caravan.
