Bailey Unicorn Cadiz Used Caravan

General

In a lovely condition, this 4 berth Unicorn Cadiz ( series 3 ) also comes with the benefits of a motor-mover ( please note: motor-movers are not included in the warranty ). Motor-movers are excellent for taking the stress ( mentally and physically ) out of the exacting task of positioning the caravan both on the camping site and on the home driveway. The Cadiz also has the Bailey Alu-Tech body shell. This means it has thicker body panels and a grade 3 Insulation Thermal Classification - which to you and me means it is lighter, but better at keeping you warm in the winter and cooler in the summer.

With road safety and practicalities in mind this caravan has a combination of the AL-KO ATC Trailer Control System, the AL-KO AKS stabiliser and AL-KO shock absorbers - a combination that should give you a safe and pleasant towing experience.

The Front Lounge

  • General View of the Bailey Unicorn Cadiz Used Caravan Front LoungeSeating - each of the two seats actual length is 178cm approximately. The available length after cushions are in place is 146cm approximately. This gives plenty of seating for four people plus other guests. As you would expect from a 2017 caravan, seating is practical, comfortable and firm.
  • Night-Time Lighting - the lounge has 4 directional spotlights each with their own switch This means that you can select which ones to have on or off. These are set into the 'four corners' of the lounge. In addition to these there are 3 small fixed spotlights set into the ceiling to provide ambient light.
  • Daylight - the front lounge has ample daylight coming into it. The combination of surrounding windows, distinctive front skylight and the rooflight above, provide lots of daylight into the front lounge giving it a very pleasant and rewarding feel.
  • Storage - The lounge has 4 overhead lockers. At the same level are 2 handy corner shelves. Further storage is provided by the 2 drawers at the front between the seats. There is of course storage beneath the seats as well. One of the seats can be can be accessed in two different ways; by using the handy side door, but this only gives partial access. For both seats; removing the seat cushions and lifting the slatted wood frame gives full access.
  • Using As A Sleeping Area - The front lounge has an Easy Bed Make-Up System. This is an array of wooden slats that pulls out and runs on a glide-track. It makes the process of changing the lounge into a sleeping area easier and less tiresome. To cut out light, all rooflights and windows have integral pleated blinds. You can either make the area into a double bed; 6' 6" x 5' 11" or two single beds; 1 @ 5' 11" x 2' 2" and 1 @ 6' 0" x 2' 2"
  • Entertainment - There is a TV connection point, with 12 volt and mains power sockets, in the lounge at the very front of the caravan. There is a JVC Radio / CD player. The radio is connected to two stereo speakers for entertainment and your enjoyment.
  • Other - An occasional table pulls out from under the integrated drawer cabinet - this is very handy for cups of tea and coffee as well as magazines and newspapers. It is also very easy to put away.

The Kitchen

  • Bailey Unicorn Madrid Series 3 Kitchen OverviewStorage - The kitchen has 2 overhead storage cupboards. Below them is a  small, wall mounted, drinks cabinet. Beneath the worktop is a cupboard with a rounded front that has 3 shelves in it. To the right of this is the cutlery drawer with another storage cupboard beneath. If you need more kitchen storage then bear in mind, there is a small cupboard above the fridge on the opposite side of the caravan.
  • Daylight - the wide window behind the sink and hob unit, plus the good size rooflight above give balanced daylight into the kitchen area. The rooflight also provides a way of controlling moisture and condensation from cooking.
  • Night-Time Lighting - The kitchen has a total of 7 fixed spotlights for night-time lighting. There is are 3 fixed spotlights in-front of the overhead cupboards. In addition to these there are 4 fixed spotlights that will shine onto the hob and worktop.
  • Cooking - The kitchen is fitted with a Thetford Caprice oven, grill and hob with electronic ignition and flame failure device. All are in very good condition. There is also a Daewoo, stainless steel microwave.

In the corners, above the headboards are small shelves with a small one that is handy for putting a mug on - nice when you are reading or watching TV in bed. Cadiz's Cassette Toilet and WashbasinThe Washroom
As you enter, immediately on your left is a small heater. As you move right you find the large, main wardrobe with hanging rail and shelf separating the top area for storing other types of clothing. Then, immediately in front, you will find the Thetford C-260 cassette toilet with integrated header tank and above that is the window. Moving round a bit further, we find the washbasin with single mixer tap. Above this is the wall mounted mirror and beneath is a good sized cupboard highly suited to storing toiletries, shower gel and the like.

Finally, we move round to the rectangular shower cubicle. The cubicle has a roof vent to help reduce the build-up of condensation. It also has a hinged door for entry and exit. Inside the cubicle are 2 fixed spotlights and an integral shelf for putting shower gels etc on. The shower is fitted with the popular EcoCamel shower head.

Used caravans from PENROSE TOURING come with a 12 month warranty for peace of mind.

USED CARAVAN WARRANTY FROM PENROSE TOURING

Warranty Included In The Price

Unless otherwise stated, the Penrose Touring price includes 12 months warranty provided by MB&G Insurance. At the time of purchase you are provided with a booklet produced by MB&G Insurance. The booklet explains what the warranty does and does not cover, what additional benefits you may be entitled to, the insurance conditions and how to make a claim under the warranty. The booklet also includes a claim form for your convenience.

MB&G - Who Are They?

MB&G Insurance are one of the few remaining privately owned warranty providers and have been in business since 1978. They are members of the Retail Motor Industry Federation, the Society of Motor Manufacturers & Traders and the National Caravan Council and have staff who specifically deal with caravan warranty. To quote MB&G themselves

Dealing with a Caravan warranty claim can be a very complex situation, which is why you’ll be glad of our knowledge and expertise. We understand the difficulties and can point out the potential pitfalls, and we also work with the manufacturers too. We can even cover that old devil, water ingress – a common problem that doesn’t always have a common solution – for up to seven years. Put simply, you can rely on us whatever the weather.

How Does It Work?

The warranty contract will be between yourselves and MB&G Insurance. If you need to make a warranty claim then you contact MB&G Insurance direct. We have collected a couple of quotes from people who have made warranty claims with MB&G Insurance which we feel will be helpful.

Quote 1
Hi Dick

I had a 36 months gold package with them and made a claim for a repair in France.
They paid 80% of the bill which was over 1100 euro.
In my book that was good value

Quote 2
Hi Glandwr.
I have had very good experiences with this company 3 years ago. Firstly, the power steering rack failed. One phone call to MB&G. I was asked where I would like to have it done, which was our local garage in Gretna. They then contacted the gararage. All I had to do was to sit and wait a few days until it was done.Brilliant!

Next was the kitchen tap which went in France--quick phone call to MB&G--kept receipt and was re-imbursed within 4 days of being back home. The integral bike rack hinges failed. It was repaired by Peter Hambilton, who did a brilliant job. Again, just a quick phone call to MB&G,and everything was sorted. I would only hope they are still as good now as they were then. I couldn't fault them. The warranty was in with the price of the van,so I can't say how much it cost but as the van was 10 yrs old I wanted some form of assurance for that 1st year. Incidentally,it's needed nothing since, other than basic service items. You can only speak as you find, but for me they were very good.

What Else Should I Know?

The type/level of warranty applicable is dependent on the age of the caravan. The information provided here is not exhaustive; it is not possible to state what is included and what is specifically excluded by the warranty cover you will receive. If you require this information then you need to check your policy or request the information before purchasing the caravan.
