Kampa Motor Ace Air Pro 400
The supreme inflatable awning for motorhomes and campervans, the Kampa Motor Ace Air 400 was updated and improved in the 2017 season. No other inflatable motorhome awning provides this kind of design, whilst still being totally functional - you are certain to be the envy of the holiday or caravan site. Everything Kampa know regarding awning design is integrated throughout this model; that is thirty seven years of constant and continuous awning design and style. With a depth of 3 metres and a width of 4 metres the awning extends the space available to you by 12 square metres approximately.
The shaped front panels not only look great, but the steep front design of the awning delivers excellent headroom and additional internal room, enabling you to make full use of the 3 metre depth; not something that can be said of all awnings. All five panels can be zipped out of the awning or lowered at the top and used in what Kampa call, ‘veranda’ style. Additionally, an optionally available annexe can be exchanged for either or both of the side panels. There are doors on each side of the awning and these feature a No-See-Um mesh panel. This panel is an excellent aid to keeping out even the smallest of insects whilst still enabling you to have added ventilation on hot days. Both side panels can also be removed.
Moving to the inside, the view out is breathtaking, with substantial panoramic crystal clear windows and skylights that deliver loads of light during the daytime and a view of the stars at night. The windows all have curtains on easy run track - no more tugging and pulling because they have snagged.
The Kampa Motor Ace Air Pro 400 uses an airframe ( also known as airpoles ) to replace conventional metal or fibreglass poles. Because these types of awnings are more lightweight they are generally easier to transport and position on-site than conventional awnings. The awning can be inflated quickly and easily through a single inflation point because all the poles are linked together. Additional advantages include the fact that the airframe is always attached ( no need to find or remember your poles ) and that there is less likelihood of damage to your motorhome or campervan because only soft materials are fixed against it. All things considered the airframe has become the trusted and most popular choice for today. A high volume manual pump is supplied but an optional electic pump is available to make the process of inflating the awning even easier.
Weathershield Pro Material
Employing Kampa's superb Weathershield Pro material, the Motor Ace AIR has outstanding weatherproofing with a Hydrostatic Head rating of 6000mm, plus extended life, but it is nevertheless light-weight enough for effortless set up and handling. This fabric, Weathershield Pro, was updated in 2017. Improvements have been made to the UV protection and the coatings. The colourway and quality of material makes the Motor Ace AIR look stunning on your caravan and is durable and weather resistant.
Kampa Packing Pads
The awning now comes supplied with sealing bumper pads. However, depending on the vehicle you own, you may also need the Kampa Packing Pads. These fill the gap between the air poles and the motorhome or campervan to create a tauter roof and aid the shedding of water.
Connectivity - How Does The Awning Connect To Your Vehicle
The only method for this awning to be attached to your motorhome or campervan is via the 4mm and 6mm Keder beading that is fitted to the awning. The beading can be clipped to the vehicle gutter using 'figure of 8' profile ( not supplied ) or if the vehicle has an awning rail then it can be attached to that.
SabreLink System Ready
Though not supplied with the SabreLink System, the awning is ready to be fitted with the system if you so wish. The awning can accept lights on the front airpoles and also the centre airpoles. The lights are controlled using a remote control that allows you to switch the lights on and off and also dim and brighten them.
Kampa Limpet System
Though not supplied with the Limpet System, the awning is ready to be fitted with the system if you so wish. This is an ingenious way of attaching the rear wall of the awning to the motorhome. Simply attach the Limpet through the pre-cut holes in the rear of the awning and fasten to a smooth surface
