Bailey Unicorn Cartagena Used Caravan

This Bailey, 4 berth caravan is in a really excellent condition both internally and externally and is a credit to the previous owners. The Cartagena has a Bailey Alutech bodyshell - just some of the benefits this provides include increased strength and durability, enhanced thermal insulation and lighter caravans, so that your car stands more chance of being suitable for towing.

This caravan also comes with an AL-KO ATC Trailer Control System and an AL-KO AKS 3004 stabiliser, a combination that gives an excellent and assured towing experience. Underneath the caravan body you will find an AL-KO galvanised steel chasis. There is a Hartal wide aperture, two part access door ( stable door ) which will provide lovely ventilation during the hot summer months. The door is fitted with a window blind and waste bin.

The Front Lounge

At the very front of the caravan is a full width sill which has been integrated to also function as the drawer cabinet top. Due to the combination of the large front vertical panoramic window, the surrounding windows and the rooflight above, the front lounge of the Cartegana has an excellent, airy feel to it even in low light weather conditions and it is a delight to sit in. Talking of sitting, the modern seating is equally as pleasurable and looks close to brand new. As you will see from the photographs there is the typical two drawer cabinet separating the seats, with an easy access, occasional table that slides out from the top.

  • Sterling Conqueror 645 Front LoungeSeating - the seating actually projects beyond the 2 drawer cabinet ( see photographs ) but from the end of the seat up to the cabinet is 1.43 metres on both sides. The actual seats are 1.73 metres long in total. The modern, seating is comfortable and in a good condition.
  • Night-Time Lighting - The front lounge has 4 directional spotlights that are positioned into the four corners. Each light has it's own switch and therefore you can choose which ones you want to have on. In addition to these there are small fixed spotlights dotted around the area - 4 in-front of the overhead lockers and 3 set into the ceiling.
  • Daylight - as you will see from the photographs, you will not struggle to have enough daylight in the lounge. Daylight comes into the lounge area via the surrounding windows, the tall front skylight and the rooflight above.
  • Storage - The lounge has 4 overhead lockers of standard width. At the same height are 2 small but handy shelves - one in each corner of the caravan. The cabinet between the seats provides 2 drawers and a cupboard space beneath. The storage space beneath the seats can be accessed either by removing the seat cushions and lifting the slatted wood frame ( this gives full access ). One of the seats does have a small access door on the side and whilst this is handy it only gives partial access to the available space.
  • Using As A Sleeping Area - The front lounge has an Easy Bed Make-Up System. This is an array of wooden slats that pulls out and runs on a glide-track ( see photographs ). It makes the process of changing the lounge into a sleeping area easier and less tiresome. To cut out light, all rooflights and windows have integral pleated blinds. You can make the area into a double bed; 6' 10" x 5' 1" or two single beds both measuring 5' 1" x 2' 4"
  • Entertainment - There is a JVC KD-DB65 DAB Radio / CD player for entertainment and enjoyment. It has both a USB and an Aux connection point and is of course connected to stereo speakers and a signal booster.

The TV Station Area

Kitchen OverviewSituated between the lounge and kitchen this area has a TV connection point that is linked to a Vision Plus signal booster. It also has both 12 volt and mains power points and storage space both above and below the surface.

The Kitchen

Situated reasonably centrally in the caravan and directly in front of you as you enter, this is a well equipped kitchen. There is a handy, worktop extension, which can be flipped up and down to suit your requirements.

  • Storage - The kitchen has 2 standard sized overhead cupboards above the worktop. Mounted on the wall and to the left of the window is a cabinet for bottle storage. Beneath the worktop are 2 decent size cupboards both with wire-frame storage baskets. There is also a cutlery drawer directly beneath the sink. Beneath the cooker is a cupboard ideal for storing baking trays etc. If further kitchen storage is required then there are cupboards on the opposite side of the caravan which can be easily accessed and utilised.
  • Daylight - the window behind the hob and sink, the window in the main entrance door and the rooflight in the ceiling all provide daylight into the kitchen.
  • Night-Time Lighting - There are 4 fixed spotlights to illuminate the sink, worktop and hob areas and a further 3 fixed spotlights in front of the overhead cupboards.
  • Cooker - Thetford Caprice combined oven, grill and hob with electronic ignition and flame failure device.

The Bedroom

The bedroom has a small vanity area set into the corner of the bedroom - on your left as you enter from the kitchen. This area has 2 fixed spotlights, a wall mounted mirror and a corner cupboard with 3 shelves. This is also where the TV connection point, 12 volt and mains supply is situated for a TV in the bedroom. There is a sliding, folding room separator between the bedroom and the front of the caravan.

  • Storage - The bedroom has quite a collection of storage options. As well as the 2 cupboards in the vanity area already mentioned there are 2 wall mounted cupboards above the window - not very deep but very useful. Over the headboard are 2 overhead lockers with a small, narrow shelf unit between them. Either side of the bed are cupboards with hanging rails for clothes that need to be kept a bit smarter. Each side also has a drawer and a smaller cupboard beneath that. There is of course, a large space under the bed that can be used for storage as well.Unicorn Cartagena Bedroom
