Bailey Unicorn Seville Used Caravan

A two berth caravan that would be ideal for the touring couple - particularly those starting out on their caravanning experience. The caravan is in a delightful condition - some aspects of it look as if they have never been used.

The Front Lounge

  • General view of the Front Lounge for the Unicorn SevilleSeating - each seat measures 1.90 metres before cushions are put in place, giving plenty of seating for two and indeed more than enough for four people. Seating is still comfortable and firm and complies with the latest fire safety requirements.
  • Night-Time Lighting - the lounge has 4 directional spotlights each with their own switch This means that you can select which ones to have on or off. In addition to these there is a main ceiling light. in addition to these there are small 'mood' down-lighters distributed around the lounge area.
  • Daylight - plenty of daylight is provided by the surrounding windows, the large front vertical skylight and the rooflight above.
  • Storage - The lounge has 4 overhead lockers. In addition to these there are two drawers in the cabinet between the seats and storage beneath the seats.
  • Using As A Sleeping Area - The front lounge has an Easy Bed Make-Up System. This is an array of wooden slats that pulls out and runs on a glide-track. It makes the process of changing the lounge into a sleeping area easier and less tiresome. To cut out light, all rooflights and windows have integral pleated blinds. You can either make the area into a double bed; 6' 3" x 6' 6" or two single beds; 6' 3" x 2' 2"
  • Entertainment - There is a JVC Radio / CD player with two stereo speakers for entertainment and your enjoyment. It is located at the front of the lounge at the same height as the overhead lockers. The lounge also has a TV connection point right at the very front - this is very handy if you wish to site a TV on the two drawer cabinet.

The Kitchen

  • Vermont Kitchen OverviewStorage - The kitchen has 2 overhead storage cupboards. To the left of the window is a shallow cupboard with a bottle holder - this can be easily removed if you wished to use the cupboard for other purposes. Additionally, there is a large drawer with cutlery tray beneath the worktop and beneath that a very good sized, two door fronted cupboard with dividing shelf. Beneath the cooker is a cupboard ideal for storing baking trays or similar
  • Daylight - the window behind the hob and the large rooflight above give balanced daylight into the kitchen area.
  • Night-Time Lighting - overlooking the worktop there are 4 small down-lighters and then there are a further 3 down-lighters inset into the pelmet in front of the overhead lockers.
  • Cooker - The kitchen is fitted with a Thetford Caprice combined oven, grill and hob with electronic ignition and flame failure device.
  • Hob - A Thetford dual-fuel hob with electric hotplate and 3 gas burners ( see photographs ).
  • Microwave - stainless steel 800 watt microwave oven.
  • Refrigerator - The kitchen comes with a Dometic 133 litre refrigerator with electronic ignition ( see photographs ).
  • Sink - recessed stainless steel sink with single mixer tap.

The TV Station

In the perfect position for viewing from the front lounge the station has a 3 drawers and several cupboards for storing DVD's, CD's cables etc. As the station is directly opposite the kitchen it is likely you would utilise some of these for extra kitchen storage. The station has the usual TV connection point, a 12 volt power point and 2 mains sockets.

The WC / Shower Room

Cassette Toilet of the Sprite A good sized WC / Shower room with plenty of room to move about and towel down after a shower is situated at the rear of the caravan. Daylight to the washroom is supplied by a single window plus some comes in through the vent in the shower cubicle. There is a large ceiling mounted light for night-time lighting ( the shower cubicle also has two spotlights ).

Immediately on your left is a large wardrobe with hanging rail and shelves to the bottom. This cupboard also houses the dining table.

Moving round we have the cassette toilet with a wall mounted shallow cupboard behind. Moving round again we have a small radiator, the washing basket and then the washbasin itself.

The washbasin has a wall mounted mirror above it and a cupboard below.

Finally we find the shower cubicle, measuring 80cm x 68cm approximately. The cubicle has a roof vent to reduce condensation and 2 lights inset into the walls. There is an integrated shelf and the shower is fitted with an Ecocamel shower head.

Warranty Included In The Price

Unless otherwise stated, the Penrose Touring price includes 12 months warranty provided by MB&G Insurance. At the time of purchase you are provided with a booklet produced by MB&G Insurance. The booklet explains what the warranty does and does not cover, what additional benefits you may be entitled to, the insurance conditions and how to make a claim under the warranty. The booklet also includes a claim form for your convenience.

MB&G - Who Are They?

MB&G Insurance are one of the few remaining privately owned warranty providers and have been in business since 1978. They are members of the Retail Motor Industry Federation, the Society of Motor Manufacturers & Traders and the National Caravan Council and have staff who specifically deal with caravan warranty. To quote MB&G themselves

Dealing with a Caravan warranty claim can be a very complex situation, which is why you’ll be glad of our knowledge and expertise. We understand the difficulties and can point out the potential pitfalls, and we also work with the manufacturers too. We can even cover that old devil, water ingress – a common problem that doesn’t always have a common solution – for up to seven years. Put simply, you can rely on us whatever the weather.

How Does It Work?

The warranty contract will be between yourselves and MB&G Insurance. If you need to make a warranty claim then you contact MB&G Insurance direct. We have collected a couple of quotes from people who have made warranty claims with MB&G Insurance which we feel will be helpful.

Hi Dick

I had a 36 months gold package with them and made a claim for a repair in France.
They paid 80% of the bill which was over 1100 euro.
In my book that was good value

Hi Glandwr.
I have had very good experiences with this company 3 years ago. Firstly, the power steering rack failed. One phone call to MB&G. I was asked where I would like to have it done, which was our local garage in Gretna. They then contacted the gararage. All I had to do was to sit and wait a few days until it was done.Brilliant!

Next was the kitchen tap which went in France--quick phone call to MB&G--kept receipt and was re-imbursed within 4 days of being back home. The integral bike rack hinges failed. It was repaired by Peter Hambilton, who did a brilliant job. Again, just a quick phone call to MB&G,and everything was sorted. I would only hope they are still as good now as they were then. I couldn't fault them. The warranty was in with the price of the van,so I can't say how much it cost but as the van was 10 yrs old I wanted some form of assurance for that 1st year. Incidentally,it's needed nothing since, other than basic service items. You can only speak as you find, but for me they were very good.

What Else Should I Know?

The type/level of warranty applicable is dependent on the age of the caravan. The information provided here is not exhaustive; it is not possible to state what is included and what is specifically excluded by the warranty cover you will receive. If you require this information then you need to check your policy or request the information before purchasing the caravan.
