The already excellent Vision Plus 18.5 Inch TV, is now even better. No longer just HD ready, the television now has a built-in, DVB-T2 receiver ( the most up-to-date type of signal ) which means you can now watch all the HD ( High Definition ) channels on Freeview ( Freeview HD ). Another advantage of a DVB-T2 receiver is greater resilience against certain types of interference when compared to standard Freeview boxes ( DVB-T ). Most, if not all new channels on Freeview are now HD channels and without a DVB-T2 receiver you would not be able to enjoy them - but now you can. And if you prefer to use FreeSat then you can relax, as the update now includes a DVB-S2 Satellite HD Tuner as well.
The Vision Plus 18.5" Portable Digital LED TV has been made and designed specifically for use with caravans and motorhomes and has an amazing list of features. It has a built in digital FREEVIEW receiver, so there is no need to have a separate freeview box which can add clutter to your television station space and use up another mains socket. It also has a built-in free-to-air HD satellite receiver as well.
If you have brought along your DVD collection then the built in DVD player is just waiting to spring into action. The TV can of course work on both 12 / 24 volts or mains power - which ever suits your needs at the time and a nice bonus is that it has a very low power consumption rate - particularly important if you are working of your battery. ( Note: 24v is very useful for those with pleasure boats and Heavy Goods Vehicles etc )
We all hate watching the TV with a bright reflecting spotlight obscuring the picture. Getting the positioning of a television balanced with lighting in a caravan can be a bit of a tricky business so this televisions' non-reflective screen can be a real aid. It also has excellent wide viewing angles.
There is a USB port so that you can connect USB devices such as a USB memory stick. You can use this to record and pause live TV - Digital FREEVIEW TV. It will record directly to the USB flash drive ( A USB Drive is not included ). For guidance, an 8Gb USB will store approximately 4 hours of recorded television. You can also use the USB port to view or play multimedia files such as photos, movies and music.
