Bailey Senator California Used Caravan
General
In a good condition, this 4 berth, Senator California comes with the benefits of a motor-mover ( please note: motor-movers are not included in the warranty ). Motor-movers are excellent for taking the stress ( mentally and physically ) out of the exacting task of positioning the caravan both on the camping site and on the home driveway.
With road safety and practicalities in mind this caravan has a combination of the AL-KO ATC Trailer Control System and the AL-KO AKS stabiliser - a combination that should give you a safe and pleasant towing experience.
The Front Lounge
- Seating - The two seats have different lengths. Actual seat sizes: 173cm / 161cm approximately. Available seating upto the drawer cabinet: 127cm / 115cm approximately
- Night-Time Lighting - the lounge has 4 directional spotlights each with their own switch. This means that you can select which ones to have on or off. These are set into the four corners of the lounge. In addition to these there are 4 fixed spot-lights set into the ceiling and a striplight under the top lockers on each side of the caravan.
- Daylight - the combination of surrounding windows and large rooflight above provide daylight into the front lounge. This can be controlled by the integral blinds.
- Storage - The lounge has a good amount of overhead storage with 6 cupboards and 2 corner shelf units. Further storage is provided by the 2 draw cabinet at the front between the seats - as well as the two drawers there is a storage space beneath. There is of course storage beneath the seats as well. This can be accessed by removing the seat cushions and lifting the slatted wood frame ( this gives full access ) but also one of the seats has a pull out drawer for easier, more convenient access.
- Entertainment - There is a Radio / DVD / CD Player. The radio is connected to the signal amplifier and two stereo speakers for entertainment and your enjoyment.
- Using As A Sleeping Area - The front lounge has an Easy Bed Make-Up System. This is an array of wooden slats that pulls out and runs on a glide-track. It makes the process of changing the lounge into a sleeping area easier and less tiresome. To cut out light, all rooflights and windows have integral blinds. You can either make the area into a double bed; 6' 10" x 5' 3" or single beds; 1 @ 5' 8" x 2' 3" and 1 @ 5' 3" x 2' 3"
The Kitchen
- Storage - There is a single overhead locker cupboard with 2 shelves to the right of it. Beneath the worktop is a larger cupboard that houses a cutlery tray and several storage baskets. There is the usual cupboard under the oven - ideal for baking trays and similar items. If further storage is needed there is more on the opposite side of the caravan in the TV station area that can be utilised.
- Daylight - the window behind the hob, the window in the entrance/exit door plus the roof-vent above give daylight into the kitchen area. The roof-vent also provides a way of controlling moisture and condensation produced by cooking.
- Cooking - The kitchen is fitted with a Thetford Spinflo oven and grill with electronic ignition and flame failure device. The Thetford hob has 4 gas burners. All are in a good condition. There is also Daewoo microwave oven giving further cooking options.
- Refrigerator - The kitchen comes with a Dometic 115 litre refrigerator with electronic ignition and detachable full width freezer compartment ( fridge capacity increases to 122 litres when freezer compartment is removed).
TV Station Area
Central to the caravan, the TV station is directly opposite the Kitchen and immediately on your right as you enter the caravan. It's position means that the television can be easily viewed from the front lounge. The station has the usual TV connection point and mains socket power point. These are connected to a signal booster and the aerial. There are also cupboards and drawers for storage of DVD's, leads etc or if you prefer these could be utilised for extra kitchen storage. The TV can also be viewed from the bedroom.
The Bedroom
The bedroom can be separated from the front of the caravan via the sliding, folding room separator. The fixed double bed provides comfort with convenience.
- Storage - The bedroom has 3 overhead lockers and a small shelf unit. Tucked into the corner is a large wardrobe with hanging rail and lots of shelves for storing other types of clothes items ( see photographs ). There is also substantial storage space beneath the bed.
- Daylight - there are 2 windows; a small one and one a bit larger plus a rooflight.
- Night-Time Lighting - the bedroom has 2 directional spotlights each with their own switch. This means that you can select which ones to have on or off. There is also a main light on the ceiling for general light to the bedroom.
The Rear Washroom
At the rear of the caravan we will walk you around the washroom. As you enter, immediately on your left is a wall mounted mirror with heater beneath. Next comes the Thetford cassette toilet with storage cupboard above. As we move round we come to the washbasin with storage cupboard beneath and window above.
Finally, we come to the shower cubicle measuring 70cm x 70cm approximately. It has a roof vent to help control condensation and a bi-folding door for entrance/exit.

- Shower Cubicle - a rectangular shaped shower cubicle with a bi-folding entry/exit door approx size 79cm x 65cm.
- Cassette Toilet - Thetford C250 casette toilet with integrated header tank.
- Blinds - Flyscreen and blinds to the principal windows - adding that extra privacy factor.
- Double Glazing - for extra comfort in those colder periods.
- Fly Screens - helps keep out those unwanted insects.
- Motor-Mover - the caravan is fitted with a motor-mover. A motor mover is a device to manoeuvre your caravan without the need for a towing car or manual pushing and pulling. It reduces the stress of positioning the caravan in the correct position. ( NOTE: not covered by the warranty )
